Rachael Gander

I am a sewist, mom, wife, designer, blogger, and fabric enthusiast. I learned to sew alongside my mom, but lost interest in the craft until my early twenties, and I've spent the last fifteen years making up for lost time! I've experimented with modern quilting, accessories and garment sewing, hand-printed fabric, and textile design, I have found my love in pattern design, and sell my original sewing and embroidery patterns in the imagine gnats shop.

Nice roundup! I especially like the light tree. I made a cardboard tree last year (I put a tutorial on my blog) and my husband and I both LOVE it, but the kids demanded something greener… so when the neighbours offered us their old fake tree a few days ago I gave it a new home. Now we have an adults’ tree and a children’s tree – one sparsely decorated, the other drowning under tinsel and baubles. And everyone’s happy :)

Now these are the kind of trees I have room for!

Nice one! This year we decorated one outside with SOLAR LIGHTS! (Oh I love solar lights. It probably helps that it’s summer in Australia now). 20 month old means no tree inside :(
